In the 1930, a Japanese archeologist found the human remains traced back to 3000 years ago in the area of Tatuen hill in the Taichung Park. The found site is the so-called “Sheng Wen Tao Culture”. Recently, one archeology staff in National Science Museum also found another site of the same period around the musical platform. These sites are the only remains found in the downtown Taichung.

Taichung Park is a park with history. Inside are many archaic buildings worth of our visiting, such as Gang Building that used to tell the time, the Yin Feng pavilion and the quiet Wang Yue Pavilion.

The age and the natural force very often destroy heritage spots. We shall do all we can to preserve all those treasures.
