Dakeng's unique geographical feature caused many special sights. The flowers in Dakeng are especially bright and  the beautiful Oncidium is well-known around the world. Oncidium can only exist in the mountains of Dakeng because there is a huge difference between the temperature of daytime and night: sometimes the temperature difference can reach 10 degrees(in Celcius). For this, only Dakeng can afford Oncidium's growth. Fruit farmers take care of these flowers meticulously. The third Taichung City's marketing team members are busy in inspecting their fruit farms and go to the store market to pack flowers by rank. All of them are ready to go to Japanese market by teamwork.  

    Oncidium is also called the dancing flower.  It has tall stem and little yellow flowers;  the flowers are the main materials of cutting  flower. Oncidium has long flowering season and each  Oncidium can produce 10 flowers. While they are  waving with the wind, they look just like dancing girls; this wins them a  beautiful reputation of "the dancing girl."  Flower farmers cultivate the Oncidium. After  the continuous mating and improving, flowers  apeal to us in not only the traditional yellow color  but other beautiful colors like Wild cat, Perfume, Red     Comet and so on. The good quality of the  110 centimeters high stem  gave Oncidium great trait to be exported.

  The marketing team's leader, A-sen Luo, said that Oncidium can harvest throughout the year. Spring and autumn are the more productive period. In order to make more money, farmers would distribute the flower season by adjusting to match the market economic period. Therefore, the original peak of cutting flower, from September to October, is adjusted to from May to June when originally it is the low productive period. In May and June, Oncidium becomes particular outshining than others in the flower market. At the same time, farmers export to Japan where she produces few flowers, so Oncidium therefore becomes the most economic agricultural product in Dakeng.
